Just came across this fantastic insect project by Oscar-winning filmmaker Zana Brinski. Her photographs are "a tribute to insects, to their intelligence, personality and elegant beauty.” Watch the film and you'll see what she means.
Zana is currently looking for $50,000 to turn the photographs into a travelling museum. Take a more detailed look at the project on the Kickstarter blog, or help fund its future through Kickstarter.

Edhv's recent New York exhibition Bits 'N Pieces uses optical tracking to generate large-scale posters from insect movements.
According to the press release:
"Every species of insects has its own behaviour which is influenced by its environment, for instance light conditions and obstacles along its path. This means all species walk different routes and paths, also according to their size, instinct, capabilities, etc. Edhv's machine will be translating these species' specific movements into graphics which then will be printed as posters, which will be available for purchase."
After a few days, the crickets used for the main exhibition were released into Central Park, and a press release issued stating that they had "lost all artistic privileges and become common bait again".
